Yin Yoga - Bi-Monthly

Rachel teaches a Yin Yoga 75 mins class at her Balham studio every 2 weeks. Classes are always 8-915pm. Contact Rachel to pre-book. £20 drop in. All mats and props provided. Max 4 people. Enjoy a mind and body rebalance.

Yin yoga focuses on passive, seated postures that target the connective tissues and fascia in and around the hips, pelvis, hamstrings, shoulders and lower spine. The aim is to increase flexibility and encourage a feeling of release and letting go. It is ideal for athletic types who need to release tension in overworked joints but it is also good for those who need to relax and let go. Expect forward bends, passive lunges and gentle backbends. It may take you beyond your comfort zone but you can ease out of poses or resist the mind’s pleas to leave the pose to feel a release. It is your practice so you decide but listen to your body to feel the maximum benefits and leave the class feeling restored
